According to a recent survey, nearly twenty percent of us end up selling unwanted Christmas presents over the World Wide Web. An opportune poll conducted by the website called magazinesbymail.net suggested that quite a few of us will be flogging our less favourite or less successful gifts on the sites such as ebay.com. After all, with the technological advances, it’s not the receiving that counts, its how much it sells for that makes a difference.
Out of the 70,000 people that were polled, one in every five of them suggested that they wouldn’t be letting the unwanted gifts gather dust in the cupboard; instead the younger lot seemed keener to put up these items on a range of auction sites.
In this recession-affected scenario, not all the gifts were gratefully received. According to Nicola Rowe, an executive from magazinesbymail.net confirmed that not all the gifts this Christmas were gratefully received; instead many of these gifts are already being featured on online auction sites. The younger lot prefer making some money out of these gifts instead of leaving them uselessly in the cupboard.
From vases, candles and interiors that do not match the home décor to cds and dvds that do not match up to peoples musical tastes are already being re-wrapped for online auctions. Even clothes and sweets are being re-decorated for selling them online.
