Hewlett Packard has uncovered some more netbooks offerings for the UK market. It is expected that HP Mini 1000 and the Compaq Mini 700 will hit the shelves soon.

The netbook market is growing even in these cash-strapped days and HP doesn’t want to leave behind just like Asus, Acer and MSI.

The Compaq Mini 700 boasts a built-in webcam, Bluetooth with optional WWAN and WLAN and it will be available in December with the price tag of £299.

It has 10.2 inches, but the really imperative specs that make it a nice choice for students or professionals are still for chase.

So far HP Mini 1000 is concerned, HP has put its brand name on it and it will be available any time during February next year and the price tag is of £399. It features as the press release calls: ‘new Mobile Internet Experience software and HP MediaStyle that allow one-stop entertainment via single interface and makes watching videos, viewing photos and listening to music quite easier.

Mitsubishi allows you to have a little bit of history from today, as its going to reveal the world’s first laser-powered telly today.

At last, Mitsubishi America is stocking shelves with its LaserVue L65-A90, which is a 65-inch rear projection set with DLP technology to provide you amazing color depth. DLP technology is not a new thing and usually found in projectors.

According to Mitsubishi claims the Laservue set will provide twice the color gamut of HDTV standard, while consuming just 135W that is third of the power a typical LCD can consume.

The A90 is 3D Ready (quite meaningless term) as Blu-ray and packaged media are not with any 3D standards, but most probably there can be some games that may make use of it in the coming days.

In most of OLEDS there is special organic thin-film materials that begin to emit light an electrical charge stimulates it without any backlight. It shows that they are enough powerful-efficient and quite lighter than many other liquid crystal displays of today.

Another good thing about them is that they are viewable almost 180-degress and they do not suffer from motion blur just like many other LCD screens. Green dopant is a material that has been used to enhance lifetime, efficiency and luminance.

Corey Hewitt, Kodak vice president says in this connection, “We have made greater than 50% year-after-year developments in OLED luminance and the company will keep moving to fill the pipeline with new inventions to make sure that Kodak OLED materials are ready to use in a lot of emerging applications.”

The old republic by RPG darlings BioWare is the new MMO being developed these days and is to be published by the behemoth, in other words, the Electronic Arts. EA had taken over BioWare for a lump some amount of $860 million in the year 2007.

Manhunt 2 for PSP, Playsatation 2 and Wii will be available in on 31 October .The game was released in the US a year back, but the British Board of Film Certification refused to certify the game in June 2007.

The game was granted a certificate in March 08 after multiple changes and appeals to the game.

In the American version of the game, the bloodiest scenes were blurred while in the UK version they have been removed altogether.
