Perhaps, Acer doesn’t want to be unable to find in the Christmas rush and that’s why the company has announced that its new 10-inch Aspire netbook will be released around February or March in the coming year, thanks for Acer Taiwan President, Scott Lin, who let slip that news.

The coming new model is an update of Acer’s 8.9-inch model that was released in the beginning of this year.

The company seems to give a lot of consideration to size and perhaps Acer doesn’t want to inject only in the arm of just netbook market.

Lin has also told about many other laptops to be released in 09 including Acer 12.1-inch and 13.3-inch that would be first from Acer laptop in this size. Similarly, the company would also release 14.1-inch and 15.6-inch models. So far specs are concerned, all these models will be LED-based, and no other details have been provided yet.

We can expect price drops in Acer’s existing line-up and especially mid-range models may see a considerable cost cut.
