There were reports that Samsung would enter the WMC arena with its Android handset, but then Samsung had to change its plan, and the company preferred to wait for some time. Why they did so? Derek Williamson, who is Samsung General Manager in Ireland and UK, explains about it.

In an interview, Derek says that it’s not disappointing for him that company couldn’t offer the second Android-powered handset to the world at WMC. They preferred to wait to make their coming device a real masterpiece for smartphone users.

He said, “I think that the company can manage to show some more patience for thing like Android.”

“We can judge what will work in the current market condition and can also realize well what’s in these days of credit crunch.”

“It is quite important to get everything right before revealing such a big thing like Android.”

After T-Mobile G1, there are some Android-powered handsets which have started to emerge, but people still waiting for something that will be able to catch their imagination regarding Google’s operating system for mobile.

According to Williamson, “Android-powered handset from Samsung will really make a difference and it would also be different from their released handsets.”

“There are lots of things that keep changing with the passage of time including colors, shapes and materials used in some handset, and everyone tries to make the combination perfect in a nice finish and feel.”
