BlackBerry Storm seems to be in revamping circle again, as the handset is going to pick Wi-Fi connectivity quite soon.

The handset got a middling response after its worldwide release and aside from its irritating text input; no availability of Wi-Fi was another main gripe of this so-called innovative touchphone device.

But now according to some sources at Slashgear, the availability of Wi-Fi connectivity has been confirmed. The new version is being named as the Storm2, but it’s not been confirmed yet, whether it’s just a refresh or a completely new handset.

The non-availability of Wi-Fi in the device was done to force customers to rely on 3G from Vodafone, but now this decision has been perceived as an admission of failure. It was also done to show people how easy it was to make thing work over HSDPA and ultimately to increase data revenue for the network.

But most of business and other common users wanted to have Wi-Fi ,as they reckoned it quite reliable connections for faster data transfer and it aroused anger in users when they didn’t find their desired tool of connectivity in the device.

However, now BlackBerry has realized that issue and wants to make things better with the coming Storm2 that is expected to have some other nice upgrades aside from Wi-Fi. So, let’s see will this new iPhone slayer really give a tough time to it or meet the same fate as of its forerunner.
