The company is working with Japan’s Softbank Mobile that is the iPhone carrier in Japan. Casio’s first W-CDMA mobiles will be opened to the market for global sales by the end of this year.
At present, the company supplies CDMA phones only in Japan, Korea and the US. And now the company is heeding over the W-CDMA variety that may have enough potential to spread the Casio cell phone brand globally.
The coming model may be very similar to existing Casio phones that are quite well known because of their waterproofing and rugged build.
