China is working very hard to prove to the rest of the world that they have definitely gone green! If you have heard about some of the very interesting facts about their latest 2010 Shanghai Expo that the country is hosting in the city of Shanghai, and if you happen to be concerned for the environment- you might just become a fan of the Chinese!

The fact is that the country is hosting this Expo in no ordinary manner, this is going to be the most expensive Expo that has ever been held, but not only that, it is also going to be one of the largest multimedia events to ever be hosted or held as well. Also, this coming from a country that is considered to be a developing one, the event can be considered as more than just an ordinary achievement. They are in fact the first of all the other developing nations to hold an Expo of the global standards.

As mentioned already, the country is also trying very hard to show that they are interested in the environment and to set a good example for all their fellow nations as well. The theme of the Expo itself is one of sustainable development and the Expo is going to showcase all kinds of green technology from around the world. But their efforts don’t just end here; the energy that they need to power the event is all being supplied by a solar plant that the country has built, which by the way is the largest one in the world. Also, all the vehicles that they are providing for the event are zero emission ones that adds to the theme that they are trying to maintain for the event. Hopefully, this gesture works out well for the country.

Hp Envy Series:

HP can be easily called as the king of computers and laptop industry because it has development some huge blasters for this industry which have earned a big name for the developers. The Envy series of HP is one of the best laptop’s series which features ultimately stylish designing and a really awesome technology. Previously we have seen that HP had replaced the 13 inch and 15 inch laptops with the 14” and 17” respectively but now a new thing is that HP is planning to bring such a look for these laptops that will be a replicate of the apple’s laptops.

Both of these new Envy laptops are powered by Intel processors and with that they offer 8GB RAM, along with that the two new notebooks also comes with a TrueVision HD webcam and a mini display port connector. Kevin Frost, vice president and general manager, Consumer Notebooks, Personal Systems Group, HP while discussing about the implementation of new designs said that “With these new designs, we offer customers a broad portfolio of notebook PCs and Minis that are innovative on the outside and the inside” and also “Each notebook provides a unique experience for the customer and allows customers to express their personality”. Thus we can clearly see that HP is focusing highly on the designs of its future laptops so as to attract more and more customers towards its side.

Bluetooth V4.0

The Bluetooth v4.0 has been rumored from some months for its features but yesterday this new technology got its official release regarding the features and specifications. In the annual all hands meeting in Seattle, the special interest group (SIG) of Bluetooth revealed some more details regarding the upcoming new 4.0 version of Bluetooth. The next generation of the Bluetooth wireless protocol ensures the lower power consumption and a really faster speed than the earlier versions available in the market now days.
While discussing about this issue Michael Foley, Ph.D., executive director of the Bluetooth SIG raiser the statement “Bluetooth v4.0 throws open the doors to a host of new markets for Bluetooth manufacturers and products such as watches, remote controls, and a variety of medical and in-home sensors. Many of these products run on button-cell batteries that must last for years versus hours and will also benefit from the longer range enabled by this new version of the Bluetooth specification”.
It has been reported that the new Bluetooth v4.0 consists mainly of three elements, first and foremost is the classic Bluetooth technology, Bluetooth low energy technology and with that the third one is the high speed technology that can be used on the pick n mix basis. The SIG also expects that they will bring this wireless technology by the end of June so be prepared to get the glory of speed and features.

A researcher from the Indiana University has come to conclusion that at the time of sending text messages, SMSes, females happen to be far more expressive than men and can also send longer messages. Food and Rocket scientists at the Purdue University in Indiana are working on the new fuels looking like gel that can promise safer and predictable liquid as well as semi-solid fuels for spaceship engines as compared to the fuels available today. Gels could be considered safer than the liquid fuels for the reason that they do not leak and they could allow the military forces to control the rockets with better accuracy that is not possible with the solid fuels. Nokia is back again with yet another QWERTY based cell phone after the much hyped Nokia N97 and the new one is called the Nokia 5730 XpressMusic. The Mobile World Congress has a lot of new attractions this year. Microsoft has recently announced that it is going to launch the new syncing service in the Congress, especially with SkyBox setting to rival the likes of the already established MobileMe as a cloud service.

This allows all the users to back up their Mobile devices running with Windows over the air. Simply put, the users can now restore, backup and also manage phone contacts and other important data. To begin with Microsoft, the company expects to roll out the service to all the non-Windows mobile phones as well; however it is almost impossible to extent this service to the phones from apple computers called iPhones.

In addition to the SkyBox services to be launched at the Congress, the company also wished to include the SkyLine that will help the professionals and the small business owners to establish their own exchange servers by making user of their own domain names.

AMD has revealed its plan of sending its employees back to homes. A number of 1000 employees have been decided to be sent. It’s a decision taken prior to the earnings report due next week.

AMD; Advance micro Devices Inc. is a well known manufacturer of embedded processors, flash memories, networking chips and programmable logic devices.

It is not a surprising thing to cut down employees on the basis of profit earnings. Recently Intel has also recorded drop in profit earnings. As per reports, AMD is bearing the costly infusion of ATI after its costly take over yet. The said take over underwent in 2006.
