A pair of high-end inkjet printers has just been revealed by Epson. The first one is Artisan 800 that has a 3.5-inch LCD, 4800dpi scanning and fax as well.

The most interesting feature in this Artisan 800 is its Epson’s integrated image edition function that has been controlled by a 7.5-inch illuminated touch panel.

Though zoom, rotate and corp options are somewhat standard, it gives you an opportunity to print your own lined and graph paper, include background images and turn photos to drawings into coloring book pages.

The Artisan 800 finds the edges of the pictures, makes texture and color appear clearly and works quite well overall.

Face detection to improve exposure of portrait, photo mode to restore faded snaps into full colors glory and red-eye elimination are some other traditional photo editing features.Bluetooth printing, Wi-Fi, an Ethernet port and memory card readers have also been included in the ever-so-connected Artisan 800. It will be available in September with a price tag of $300.

The other one Artisan 700 that is hundred buck less and has a 2.5 inch LCD, 2400 dpi scanning and somewhat lacking in creative coloring book features.
