Mitsubishi allows you to have a little bit of history from today, as its going to reveal the world’s first laser-powered telly today.

At last, Mitsubishi America is stocking shelves with its LaserVue L65-A90, which is a 65-inch rear projection set with DLP technology to provide you amazing color depth. DLP technology is not a new thing and usually found in projectors.

According to Mitsubishi claims the Laservue set will provide twice the color gamut of HDTV standard, while consuming just 135W that is third of the power a typical LCD can consume.

The A90 is 3D Ready (quite meaningless term) as Blu-ray and packaged media are not with any 3D standards, but most probably there can be some games that may make use of it in the coming days.

120Hz playback of Full HD, four HDMI 1.3a sockets, x.v. color and a 10-inch depth ( feels quite well considering A90’s 60Kg weight) are some other included features.

The A90 is going to hit the shelves tomorrow and the price tag is of $7000 that may put it head-to-head with Pioneer’s well known Kuro tellies.
