Gibson will launch the limited edition of Gibson Dark Fire guitar next month. According Gibson’s claim, its world’s most technically advanced guitar that features second-generation robotic tech.
Dark Fire guitar is expected to be launched worldwide on Monday 15 December 2008.
“With the technical advancement and the spirit of innovation, (inspired the original Gibson Robot guitar in 2007), now the Gibson Dark Fire guitar is there to change everything,” the press release says.
The Dark Fire is being described as “an upgrade of the original Robot guitar in each and every aspect with the unprecedented sonic capabilities of a fully guitar and Chameleon Tone Technology.”
“It allow users to switch between analog or digital with its MCK (Master Control Knob) and with improved ergonomics it now features a full colour matrix display with LEDs offering to adjust tone and tunings automatically many times during the same song.”
Its Robot Interface Pack is being described as “conduit for Chameleon Tone Technology with unbelievable tonal versatility” that allows you to create every imaginable sonic landscape.
The Dark Fire’s RIP front panel a single ¼-inch stereo input, a 1/8inch headphone out with level control and a pilot light that can change from dim blue to bright blue when it is detected by the Dark Fire input.
