Well, Google must not worry about at least for this kind of online fight, as both the players are its own, Hitwise survey to measure web traffic reveals that in terms of visits, Gmail is quite ahead of YouTube.

The latest statistics from Hitwise reveals that Gmail has become the second most visited site among various Google owned sites while the search page of the is undoubtedly at number one place. But contrary of our expectation, YouTube is at third rank of popularity.

When it comes to online traffic, different Google properties  seem quite thriving with the their stats, as a huge 68.32% of traffic is part of Google search, while Gmail is being used by nearly 9.79% of users and YouTube is at number three position with 9.27percent traffic.

It means, Gmail’s popularity has been growing year by year to nice 70 percent contrarily YouTube sees 16 percent of growth.

It is,indeed, a good news for Gmail that had to under go some bad press in its temporarily loss, but now it is making its mark as a nice email service.  We can expect that Google will soon make some more improvements in its email service to keep the momentum going.
