Truly speaking, it’s not one of those handsets that catch your eyes at once, contrarily, it looks fairly ordinary handset that has great functionality in ordinary looks.

The Nokia 6220 classic is full of bombastic features that are somewhat similar to Nokia’s well-known Nseries smartphones. It has high-end functionality that ranges from nice quality imaging to onboard satellite navigation.

Features

With a xenon flash and Carl Zeiss optics, it has a 5-megapixel camera, built-in A-GPS for location finding and route guidance, high speed 3G data connectivity with HSDPA that allows users fast downloading and internet browsing.  Like other Nseries smartphones, it runs nicely on the Symbian S60 smartphone operating system.

Sturdy video and music players, an FM radio, VGA quality video shooting, face-to-face video calling capability, facilities to upload online content and a lot of other organizer and productivity tools are some well known features of the 6220 classic. Wi-Fi support that is found on higher end Nseries models is missing in the 6220 classic.

Design

The Nokia 6220 classic weighs 90g with the measurements of 108(h) x 46.5(w) x 15.2(d) mm. The set looks like a plastic dummy because of its plasticky front control panel and number pad.

The design is no-nonsense sort of Nokia design that has often been seen a lot of times in Nokia’s hugely successful handsets. The Nokia 6220 classic is a mid-tier smartphone that is not as expensive as some similarly equipped Nseries handsets and besides Wi-Fi , lightweight build is another factor behind that low cost.

With a QVGA 16-million color screen, the 6220 classic has a 2.2-inch display that feels quite bright and compact. Though the screen is not big enough, it’s nicely doing her job.

To open the protective lens cover, there is a slider switch on the back of this 6220 classic and it also operates its well hyped 5 MP camera. The xenon flash has been placed under the lens that helps to hold the phone easily in landscape camera mode. Camera is quite amazing with the best quality of picture.

With up to 3.6Mbps HSPDA provided data rates, you can really enjoy browsing on that 6220 classic. There re also many other types of gadgetry to play with as we know well Nokia’s smartphone features are developed to cover both: business and pleasure.

According to Nokia’s claims expected talktime on 3G networks is up to 2.5 hours while on GSM coverage is up to 5 hours.

The best quality 5Mp camera, fast HSDPA connectivity, multimedia capabilities and slick A-GPS satellite navigation functionality make this Nokia 6220 classic extremely impressive.

Though the looks are simple and somewhat ordinary (with tons of plastic), features are no doubt remarkable and very similar to well-known and expensive Nseries smartphones.
