Twhril that is quite well-known desktop client at Twitter has just got a new bro that’s being named as Seesmic Desktop and the new service has been dubbed by Seesmic boss Loic Le Meur. The Abode Air-based application was acquired nearly a year back and now it’s being released as a different product from its forerunner Twhirl.
It can monitor various feeds alongside and in the same way that you have seen in the TweetDeck. Aside
from this impressive capability, some other nice features have also been added that include creating custom user lists, posting multiple accounts at the same time when application can keep track to avoid duplicates. It will also allow you to drop and drag your photos from your PC to post direct to Twitter, as it’s running AIR platform of Abodes.
But you wouldn’t find all this functionality in the beginning, as only the preview of the service is being launched and it will support Twitter only. But according to Le Meur, they are working to launch support for different other services within a month. He also added that to fill the business model of the company, a pro version is also on its way, as there will be no adverting has been given like Twhirl.
One thing that is quite evident that the life cycle of Twhirl may come to an end soon. But contrarily, Le Meur says that developments that are being made on it are simply bug fixes.
