As there were reports last months that Sky would launch an Internet TV site that work separately of sky satellite service.
Now this service has been launched by the name of Sky Player TV. Sky already has an online portal and this new website is an extension in it.
Anyone from UK or Ireland can enjoy this service no matter whether satellite dish is available or not.
If you want to access that new service, you just need to buy Sky’s Base Entertainment Pack for a monthly subscription. With it you can access National Geographic Channel, Sky Sports News, Sky News, British Eurosport and the Disney Channel.
If you are a sport enthusiast and want to add some more sport stuff, you can access Sky Sports 1, 2, 3 and others, but with some extra cost.
Currently, channels that have been included in the basic package will available on this new service, but Sky says that soon there will be more content like Nickelodeon , MTV One, Nick Jr and some other channels have been promised during the next year.
Griff Parry, who is Director of BSkyB says in this connection: “we always believe in providing the best services to our customers and now our customers can access nine different channels and they will enjoy more in the coming year.”
