Sony is going to launch two new Blu-ray Disc recorders that will not only be able to record your favorite TV programs, but also allow you to export videos to different portable devices like Walkman or the Sony PSP.

The BDZ-A950 and BDZ-A750 have 500GB and 320GB capacities respectively and they will also call down content from well-known Japanese video download service AcTVila and you can also export it other compatible portable devices.

It’s not a new thing at all to have something from downloadable and streaming video services, however exporting this stuff to some portable gadgets is really a nice feature.

Though it was possible for quite some time, yet most of efforts seemed to cripple because of different copyright issues.

These two new Blu-ray Disc recorders can also export content to different compatible handsets as well as PDAs.  However, it will be limited to videos without some copy protection signal as well as analogue broadcast programs.

It seems an effective feature, but it reminds us of what Sony has forgotten, as it planned to let the PS3 to offer Blu-ray movies low-res version. It was a greater concept and many were quite eager to make to most of it as well. Sony is still deathly quiet even after a year of this technology revelation.
