The internet giant Google is very consistently working for bringing some new and amazing technologies for its users and recently the company has taken a very major step in bringing a new feature of video and audio communication for the users, Google has made a very big cash offer to buy the VoIP firm global solutions by bidding an amount of $68 million. The company has not done much discussion about this new acquisition only a little information has come out.
In a statement by company it has been discussed that “The web is evolving quickly as a development platform, and real-time video and audio communication over the Internet are becoming important new tools for users” and further “GIPS’s technology provides high quality, real-time audio and video over an IP network, and we’re looking forward to working with the GIPS team at Google to continue innovating for the web platform”.
This offer by Google actually came one day before the I/O conference and it is reported that this company fits very well between Google’s existing voice service, Google voice and acquisition of Gizmo 5. Emerick Woods, Global IP Solutions CEO also discussed about this new action by Google and according to him “With Google’s global reach, scale and widely recognized leadership, we are confident that our existing customers will continue to be fully supported while we continue to enhance and extend our products and technology at Google”. So overall we can say that this new acquisition can prove to be really affective for both of the companies and the actual benefit will surely go to the users in the form of some new exciting new features.
