Multi-platform console gamers may be making the switch to the Xbox to games they may have owned on the PS3.The new Christmas arrival has shown that the multi platform gamers have shifted from Xbox to PS3 for the holiday surge of multi-format games.
According to the analysis at OTX the 15 % of the users who have planned to buy Xbox have shifted to PS3 and also 7% are those who have planned to buy the PS3 have shifted to the Xbox. It is also predicted that the PS3 sales of Modern Warfare 2 will surpass those on Xbox 360.

The competition between these two play stations is very tough this year because all the buyers are not concentrating on the same product; there is a mixed interest of the gamers on both the devices. The reason for the customer’s more interest towards PS3 is not yet explained by any expert. A reason could be that the expanded PS3 console ownership following the system’s recent price drop.
All the above scenario can also reveal Modern Warfare 2 – bearing in mind the first one was more popular on the Xbox 360 – is set to be more of a success on the PS3. Yet the main reason for this divergence of thoughts has not yet determined and everyone is keeping the fingers crossed to know the exact reason for this.
